I'm having a bit of trouble contacting Roxy. I was sure she was not that far behind me when we were getting to town, and her Pokemon came in with us.

[Concerned. Very much concerned. She's even in the process of backtracking to see if she just got distracted or fell asleep or anything.]

Her eggs both hatched as well, so I know she will want to see them! Maybe her phone is broke, with the response I keep getting..

I didn't think she was that far behind us, either.

I can only guess she fell asleep and fell off at some point?

[Then again, on calling Roxy's phone, Jane keeps getting the message of This user is no longer in service.]

[Jake looks worried as he hangs up his own Pokegear.]

I can't reach her, either. I'm sure she was right behind us.

[Caty Purry is trying hard to not look subdued, and is kind of failing. Poor cat.]

[ Aradia's...not sure that's the case, mostly because she would have thought she'd notice, but she's not going to argue the point. She's been calming down Twinkie the Starlia herself, who hasn't been able to locate Roxy from the sky. ]

Well, there's nothing for it but to keep looking.

She's gone. Best to just deal with it.

Uu-! [ Not that Maria knows who Roxy is, but she's a little kid, so there's some sort of natural tendency to butt in and try to help.. ]

Right. [It doesn't change how worried she is, and one of the other responses she's gotten on her gear is concerning. Going to check these bushes over here, Grape Jelly running about the way James is; it's like having two Deerling zipping about, searching.]

[Especially since Caty Purry was always the sassiest kitty; seeing her upset like this is just plain concerning. Animals always know things before people do, so is that the case here?]

Right. [With a small start at a noise at her back, Jane paused to move her new baby Poke-sling and check on the new Chikorita and Shinx. Both were awake and hungry, so she moved to get some food out and sit on the ground. Can't really ignore hungry wails, nope.]

[ Yeah, that response. Aradia's talked to people who had friends leave before, too...

She's a little worried about Jane and Jake if it's true. ]

...Caty Purry's never really left her side.

[John listens to Jane's message, then attempts to contact Roxy. Yup. There's that old familiar error message. Sigh. This is never a fun conversation, and the fact that it's with Jane only makes it that much worse. But she deserves to know.]

Any chance you're still in the hotel?

People get sent back. This isn't a permanent vacation.

[He checks by trying to contact Roxy, and gets the same error message he got for Bro. This...is going to suck.]

Maybe you should go back and look for her? If her thing is really broken, then she might still not see it.. wouldn't that be sad?

[She can't think of anything to say, and just nods quietly, watching James and Grape Jelly until they come back looking somber.]

I know that it isn't a vacation, but.. how?

Yeah.. we're definitely looking for her. Our Pokemon and hers, and hopefully we'll find something!

No, not just yet. We're looking along the way we came in, just in case she fell asleep or.. or something. [With how she sounds, the results are pretty obvious.]

It's.. it's okay. I mean, she's a tough girl, and she'll get back to us soon! [Still on the optimistic side of SHE'S HERE, JUST ASLEEP OR SOMETHING.....]

[He knows they won't find her, and judging by Jane's tone, he's pretty sure she's beginning to realize this too. But if looking is what helps her cope, John's not going to stop her. He'll explain all this before the day is over, but he's not going to rush it.]

Well, when you guys get back if you want to come over to Rose and I's room for a bit, you are more than welcome to. I can make tea or hot chocolate.
