It's true. Um. Has no one explained it to you? It's something that happens with human girls, so I would hope someone has but on thinking no one probably really remembered.
rose said it was punishment for not having babies somehow i think you have them differently than us because bro was surprised but im not sure what were supposed to do when this happens or what is happening rose is being a bit touchy right now
[ Jane that was not what she wanted to hear! But at least Jane sounds less, uh, touchy? ]
[At least she's had chocolate and heating pads and Dave tiptoeing when she is having a rough time until painkillers kick in, yup.]
Ahaha, it kind of is.
Alright, I suppose I'm up to the plate for explaining! You may want to share this with your fellow lady trolls, as it's definitely something important for them to know.
When a human girl reaches a certain age, it's different for all girls, but the range is between nine years and seventeen years old her body will start making hormonal changes. It's because the female body is born with eggs, and those eggs are starting to ripen. One at a time, once a month, they get released into a womans womb where it could meet a mans sperm.
[This is why it's staying text, her face is turning a funny shade of red and wow period talks.]
But as most girls are too young or haven't had intercourse, the egg has nothing to fertilize it, and the body eventually lets it dissolve back into the bloodstream. What a "period" actually is, is the lining that a womans body produces for the egg to settle into if it ends up fertilized. When the egg isn't fertilized and dissolves into the body, the womb strips the lining away and bleeds it out. It lasts from three days to a week, and the amount of bleeding is different for each girl, the same way the timing is.
There are products to buy in the store! They're called feminine hygiene products, and come in the form of pads or tampons. Pads are sort of like diapers that you place in your panties, and tampons are cotton um plugs.
The thing with periods is that when most girls are on them, they get very testy, cranky, easily upset because of the hormones involved on top of feeling an aching pain in your lower abdomen or lower back for the entire time. I would recommend purchasing painkillers to take during that week.
Maybe something more like a memo? Just something for us girls to talk.
It's no trouble, it's important to know! Since no one had explained it, I get the feeling that uh there are other talks that need to occur too. It's called 'the birds and the bees', and it's about the physical part of growing up human.
