I'm having a bit of trouble contacting Roxy. I was sure she was not that far behind me when we were getting to town, and her Pokemon came in with us.

[Concerned. Very much concerned. She's even in the process of backtracking to see if she just got distracted or fell asleep or anything.]

Her eggs both hatched as well, so I know she will want to see them! Maybe her phone is broke, with the response I keep getting..

[The hug is honestly the best reaction Jane has had all day, and on being hugged like that, Jane just hugs back and buries her face in the soft fur.]

[Shhh, it's okay gramma. Casey will hug all the sads away. She is a pro at this by now. Though after a few minutes, she will try to subtly lead her over to the couch.]

[Jane lets her, moving easily and having a seat. Removing her glasses and setting them in her lap, she rubs her eyes a bit; the last thing she wants to do is go and ruin that extra soft fur with snot and tears.]

[It's okay, Jane. Daddy washes and brushes her fur out every night. She can deal with sad boogers. But for now, she will just nuzzle her cheek against Jane's while they wait for John to come back out.]

[Which he does after about three minutes and a beep, a steaming mug in each hand as he makes his way to the couch. Taking a seat on Jane's other side, he sets the mugs down on the table.]

Sorry, I couldn't find where Rose hid the tea. Hot chocolate is better anyway though, am I right?

[Nodding from where her face is still tucked into Casey's fur, she sniffs back a little and sits back enough to try and wipe her face a little cleaner.]

Yes, I do think a bit of hot chocolate will be.. better, right now.

[He smiles softly, almost apologetically as he opens his arms a little bit. Human hug? Will this help?]

[.... Yes, hugs make everything better, even if she certainly can't feel better just yet. Giving Casey a thankful pet, she's going to latch onto John now and tuck her face at his shoulder, holding on tight.]

[John gives her a little squeeze in return before settling for rubbing her back in small circles.]

It'll be okay, Jane. It might not be now, but it will be. If Roxy is anything like Dave, she'll be back before you know it.

I know.. I just can't shake this upset feeling. [Staying put for now, Jane exhales a small laugh out.] It's not as though I'll never see her again, right?

Exactly right! People come and go from this place all the time. It's just...something you have to get used to.

[He sighs, still rubbing her back.]

[Nodding again, Jane squeezes her arms tight before finally giving John's back some simple rubbing pats.]

Yes! It was the silliest thing and she was so drunk, she was just rolling about on the floor in front of her video camera. I'm sure about ninety percent of the bottle was getting sloshed about, because before we logged off to get some sleep, she opened another bottle!

Not all that often, since mine had trouble staying connected, but we managed it often enough that I never forgot what she looked like. Even if she was drunk more often than not.

Well, yes and no! I had a desktop I would use that ... well okay, yes, it was a clunky old dinosaur, but Dad's was worse! When it misbehaved and I wanted to be away from the screen but still keep in touch, I would use my tiaratop!

It had some douchebag on it that I never can remember the name of; I am pretty certain he shopped at the Dadly Depot though! [Giggling gently, it is a silly memory.]

Yes, well. It's a highly experimental, thought-processing device made by the Crocker corporation, and since I'm the heiress, I can get my hands on just about everything in development. Overall, it works quite well, even if it gives me a headache after a little while.
